E.L.A. was founded by its Director of Studies Keith Wakefield in May 2000 Offering Quality English.
First as
ELA ‘Exmouth Language Academy’ ELA-UK (Exmouth being a popular seaside town in England) teaching over 2000 students from all parts of the world including: Spain, Germany, France, Czech Republic, Poland, China, Japan, Qatar, Guyana, Zimbabwe, Russia, Holland, Uzbekistan and The Philippines. ELA added Online Teaching in the winter of 2007 to meet the demand for English all around the world. Soon getting students from all over Asia, mainly: China, Japan and the Philippines. At the request of the English Council, ELA moved to the Philippines in 2009, to help improve the quality of English in the Asian Pacific region.
